Suzanne is a writer and speaker whose first published works were for professional nursing journals. She wrote a book of devotions for nurses; followed by The Sheep of His Hand, a book about following Jesus, based on years of caring for and observing her sheep on the family farm in Illinois.
For the last three years, Suzanne has written for Guideposts’ popular devotion series, Mornings with Jesus 2015, 2016, and 2017.
After twenty years as a shepherd and twenty-seven years caring for tiny and sick newborns as an RN and Nurse Practitioner, Suzanne and her husband, Mike, moved to a cabin in the Hiawatha Forest in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where she continues to spin yarns, as well as spin actual yarn from the wool of her beloved sheep. She knits, weaves, and pursues an outdoor lifestyle in the boreal forest near the southern shore of Lake Superior. A pair of loons and the occasional trumpeter swan do their best to distract Suzanne from her writing.
She’s not falling for it.
